Today we deal with:

caffeine overdoses
the Lotto Drawmaster’s gloves
iPad infidelity alerts
soundchecks
Periscope
Hale and Pace
goatees
Van Dykes
imperials
and

Plus: Olly lies about his breakfast and reveals a surprising new phobia; Helen ruins some of your favourite songs; and Martin the Sound Man luckily has grown out of his Nu Metal phase.

Today’s Bonus Bit of Crap on the App (available for iThings, Android and Windows devices) is a question from Steffy in Bristol: ‘What is Swarovski crystal?’

For more additional listening, this is the podcast we mentioned about the consequences of soundchecking by asking interviewees ‘What did you have for breakfast?’ Makeuthink.

Repeat answer alert! The question about the National Lottery man wearing white gloves has been asked and answered before. I was listening to the back catalogue while doing a bunch of yardwork this spring, so it’s fresh in my mind. It’s from a while back…the 100-somethings, maybe?
Anyway, it was quite interesting to hear quite a different response this time! The nugget of the answer was the same – “to show his hands” – but the conversation around it was quite different. Enjoyable 🙂

  2. Stuart Says:

Another common question to get a level I’ve heard is ‘how was your journey here?’. Of course it only works if the guest has come in to the radio or TV studio

  3. Matt marsh Says:

Bernard and the Genie does star Alun Cumming
